Welcome to

Longshaw Community Junior School

Success for all - nothing less

Year 3

Welcome to Year 3

There are three classes in Year 3 - 3J taught by Mrs Johnson, 3L taught by Miss Lee and 3B taught by Mr Beaumont.

3L a place where reading is key, maths is great fun and the word on everyone's lips is independence!

Miss Lee is a busy lady who lives life at a fast pace!  Loves her two cats, nice cars and organising events.  In her spare time she helps run a balloon shop and can transform an uninviting room into a lively place in the blink of an eye.

You will recognise 3J because of the smiles on their faces.  Fun and laughter mixed with great teaching means that children have a happy and secure start to Longshaw Juniors.  Mrs Johnson is an avid Blackburn Rovers fan and regularly makes use of her season ticket.  Look out for her and her flask of coffee in the Blackburn end. Dedicated to her sport she plays Badminton early Sunday morning and regularly goes to splash aerobics.  She is also an expert drawer and enjoys relaxing by practicing her artistic talents with her two children.

Mrs Patel works in 3J alongside Mrs Johnson.  She has a great knowledge of many interventions which help children feel inspired and motivated.  Her four children keep her busy at home but she does like a good book to relax with at night.  Recently she has joined a gym and we hope to see her running around the playground soon!
