Welcome to Year 5

 

There are three classes in Year 5 - 5P - taught by Miss Poyner,

5JP taught by Mr Phipps and 5SP taught by Mr Purves.

Hi I'm Mr Phipps and teach in 5JP, which is a happy and exciting place. Children approach their learning with intrigue and a thirst for knowledge. We all work hard to be the best we can be. 

 

I am a keen sportsman who coaches the school tag-rugby and cricket teams. On Saturdays you will find me running round a waterlogged football pitch trying to help my team avoid yet another defeat. For my sins I am a Sunderland supporter but thankfully I don't get to see them that often these days. Whenever the opportunity arises I love to travel and will be happy to regale anyone with stories of my days travelling the world.
