Welcome to Year 6

There are three classes in Year 6 - 6LW taught by Mrs Walker,

6A taught by Miss Allen and 6CW taught by Miss Wilmore.

6LW is a creative and enjoyable place to learn taught by myself Mrs Walker.  I have been teaching in Year 6, here at Longshaw for three years and thoroughly enjoy my job.  I have always wanted to be a teacher since being a little girl, when I used to play schools with my sister and friends, and I wouldn't change anything.  I love my job!  Having high expectations and working extemely hard myself, I expect nothing less from the children in my class.  We come to school to learn, but have lots of FUN along the way!  My aim is for all children to achieve and BE THE BEST THEY CAN BE!

I am very lucky to work alongside such a fantastic teaching assistant; Miss White.  She also works extremely hard and give so much support to the children and myself.  Miss White has two grandchildren, who she loves dearly and enjoys spending time with them each weekend.  Cameron always has her off doing something, and even though she's always cold, it doesn't stop them even in the winter.

My name is Miss Allen and I've been teaching at Longshaw Junior School since 2013.  I am currently teaching in Year 6 but I previously taught in Year 4.

I enjoy keeping fit and healthy by going to the gym, cycling and going for walks in the Lake District. I also love cows, dancing and skiing!  Apart from keeping fit, I enjoy cooking, reading and watching films. I particularly enjoy children's animated films - especially 'Despicable Me'.
