Longshaw Community Junior School

Success for all - nothing less

SEND

Longshaw Junior School is committed to providing an appropriate and high quality education. We believe that all children, including those identified as having a special educational need or a disability (SEND) have a common entitlement to a broad and balanced academic and social curriculum, which is accessible to them, and to be fully included in all aspects of school life.

We believe that all children should be equally valued in school. We will strive to eliminate prejudice and discrimination, and to develop an environment where all children can flourish and feel safe.

The name of our SENDCo is Mrs Andrea Clift. If you have any questions regarding our Special Educational Needs and Disability provision or any SEND concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us on 01254 296450 or via email at andrea.clift@longshawjunior.blackburn.sch.uk

Are you concerned about your child’s progress?

If you are concerned about your child’s progress the first step is to talk to your child’s class teacher. The class teacher is responsible for working with your child on a daily basis and for planning and delivering lessons. If you need further help, support or advice, please contact Mrs Clift and arrange an appointment to discuss your child’s needs further.

Please read the documents below to find additional information about SEND provision at our school.
